[Wanda, still blushing slightly from her stomach's uproar, nods her head sheepishly and takes Vision's hand again, letting him lead her into the tower.]
[The elevator is fast and smooth, and though they provide slightly higher-priced menus than usual given his Mystic affiliation (he is rather purple), he doesn't seem to mind and gestures for Wanda to order anything she'd like. He has more than enough money, and besides, it's not nearly so bad when you're only paying for one meal instead of two. He does order a fancy-looking drink, because drinking isn't difficult for him to process.
As for the food itself, it's mostly fancified versions of local cuisine rather than some of the more ridiculous culinary efforts some of the restaurants around offer. And the view? He comments as he takes it in from their table.]
[Wanda places her order with the waiter. She actually recognizes one of the dishes on the menu from a Savvy establishment she has visited a few times--though it seems this restaurant has put its own spin on it. Perhaps as their own form of competition with their Savvy counterparts? Intrigued, she asks for it, making it seem like she's never heard of it before. Her polite smile towards the waiter turns a shade more sly as he turns and walks away.]
[She looks over at Vision and then follows his gaze out the window. The view causes a sharp intake of breath from her. Her eyes widen slightly. It really was a rather impressive view out over the cityscape they had just toured.]
[As much as the food itself is baffling to him, he doesn't miss that something about it amuses her. Once the waiter's gone, he decides to ask about it.] Is that a dish you've seen before?
[She looks back over at him, giggling slightly at his question. She then leans in close and whispers like she's sharing a big secret, though the expression on her face remains playful.]
I recognized the dish from a Savvy restaurant. It looks like they're either trying to pass it off as their own, or trying to outdo them at their own cooking. I'm curious to see how it'll be different.
I see. You'll have to tell me if you can taste the difference, in that case. Though it does make one wonder what the system was like before the factions came to power - are they remnants of a political system? Former nations, perhaps?
[Wanda sits back as she considers. It's bit obvious by the expression on her face that she's not overly keen on this topic of conversation at the moment. I mean, after all... they're on a date. Still, she'd be lying if the question didn't intrigue her slightly.]
I think if they were remnants of some political system... there would be more obvious signs. The ideologies or beliefs are there, I suppose. But they seem more like differences in cultures rather than political opinions.
Maybe it's as simple as that. Before they invented their own means of space travel, perhaps the cultures developed naturally, independently of each other. It was only when they were able to meet and collide with one another that it became this silly game they're playing now.
[She mirrors his smile back. Though hers is more sympathetic and caring than regretful.]
I know. That's what makes you who you are. Makes you a good person. It's why others trust you, what attracts them to you.
[She then blushes a slight shade of pink. Her expression becoming more bashful, but also more endearing. One of her hands slides across the table slowly about halfway out to him.]
[He reaches over to grasp her hand and firmly squeezes it. He's never been particularly cautious about touch around her. She can read his intentions - what does that matter when he has nothing to hide from her?]
That you can see past my appearance and origin to recognize it is a large part of what I find enjoyable about you as well, Wanda.
[The Vision finds he likes that expression on Wanda rather a lot, and so he smiles back.]
And that you commit so strongly to helping others, even when you meet with resistance.
[Her smiles grows ever more as he takes her hand in his. The blushing becomes a little more prominent as well, and her gaze briefly shifts down and away as he compliments her. She can't help it. His genuine, warm compliments embarrassing her.]
No one should be judged by where they come from. Only where they wish to go, and what they wish to do along the way.
[She looks back over at him. The red in her cheeks is still there. Her heart feels like it's pounding louder than ever as she meets his eyes. Her affection for him clearly visible in her own. She lightly squeezes his hand back.]
[Sincere, yes - because he doesn't know any other way to be. That is to say, he does know of it, naturally, but it's a skill he doesn't need to utilize. Wanda's such a complex person it would be a shame not to compliment her on the wonderful qualities she possesses.
He wonders if this would be an appropriate time to kiss her, but decides it probably is not.]
Ideally, yes. It's an ideal I find most agreeable.
Where do you wish to go, Wanda? How can I help you to get there?
[Sadly, their dinner, or rather Wanda's order, arrives. Their hands separate, a look of disappointment relatively apparent on Wanda's face. She tries to put it away though, not wanting to ruin the mood of the evening. Still, it's there behind her eyes. She answers Vision's question as she reaches for her utensils and begins to sample her meal.]
At the moment, wherever I'm going seems to be a little beyond my control.
[She's still not without her sarcastic humor, it seems. Taking the jab at Atroma.]
[Some day he'll get the hang of it. Some day. In fact, he narrows his eyes slightly when he perceives her disappointment - he'll have to try again the next time he thinks the moment is right.]
Locationally, yes. We've no control over the Marsiva, and the other ships follow it by design.
[He clasps his hands together in front of him.]
But we have every chance to make our own choices. And whatever you choose, I would very much like to be a part of it.
[She smiles back up at him. It does not quite have the same affection or glow to it as it did a moment earlier, but that line had certainly won him back a few points.]
[She samples some of her meal before responding. Hmmm. It's different. Not bad, just different. Wanda thinks she preferred the Savvy way of preparing it more though.]
I have a hard time imagining a decision in which you would not be a part.
[He sips at his drink while she eats - drinks are somewhat easier for him to process, and he does occasionally need to replenish liquids.]
If that's the case, I am doubly honored.
[He can imagine all sorts of decisions she might make that have nothing to do with him, but her meaning as he understands it is that she's saying she wants him to be a part of them anyway. And that's a very flattering thing to think.]

[He turns back to Wanda and focuses on her, smiling a little but in a regretful way.]
It's difficult for me to try not to care, you understand. I care about nearly everyone I meet.
